Who is the Holidayschool suitable for? Can I take part in the Holidayschool?Our Holiday School is aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 17. It is suitable for students who want to learn German for the first time and have no previous knowledge of German, as well as for those who would like to improve their knowledge or have a special experience abroad.

What does German Bridges offer at the Holidayschool?In the daily lessons, each pupil receives individual and group-based German language support. During their stay, the pupils are accompanied by educational staff in everyday situations to practise the skills they have acquired. The staff consists of native speakers who are also highly qualified linguists and accent-free language role models. Are you curious? Then register now!

How can I register for the Holidayschool at German Bridges?Registration takes place via our homepage. You enter into a binding registration with us after completing the REGISTRATION FORM (link?) and sending it to us by June 15, 2024. After a selection process, you will receive a confirmation email from us by June 28, 2024, in which you will be asked to transfer the amount to the specified account by the deadline. You can also register directly during the face-to-face events in Turkey. You will receive the registration form from our staff. Please check your travel documents (validity of passport), visa and insurance (international insurance is recommended), for which you are responsible.

Where can I get a visa for Germany from Turkey?The German embassy or a German consulate is usually responsible for applying for a visa for Germany from Turkey. You can find information online about the required documents and appointments.

What am I allowed to bring?It is important to adhere to the flight and safety guidelines when traveling to Germany for the Summer School. Be aware of baggage restrictions and bans on certain items in hand luggage. Remember important documents such as your passport, visa and, if available, your medication.

Where can I get a flight ticket?You can buy flight tickets from airlines, travel agencies or online via booking platforms. Make sure that your ticket is valid for the desired travel period and contains all the necessary information.

Is my passport valid?Check the validity of your passport before you travel. It is recommended that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date. If your passport has expired or is about to expire, you should apply for a new passport in good time. In the event of a complication, our educational institution will not accept any responsibility and will not be able to issue a refund.

Do I need to pay attention to anything with electronic devices?If you are bringing electronic devices with you, you should remember the charging cables. You do not need a travel adapter when entering Germany from Turkey.

Can I work in Germany during my participation in the Summer School?Students with a visa for participation in a summer school are generally not allowed to work in Germany. In exceptional cases, internship or employment contracts in accordance with the Youth Protection Act, special regulations may apply. Please contact us for further information.

What's for dinner?In consultation with the youth hostel, a meal plan is drawn up according to the individual needs of the students (allergies, intolerances). A healthy diet is taken into account.
